Overall Research Question: “Does Instagram have an impact on adolescent girls body image?”
1. How many hours per day do you spend on Instagram and if you don’t use Instagram what social media site do you use?
2. Are you generally happy with your own body image and if not do you think it stems from something specifically?
3. What makes a girl or woman beautiful to you?
4. Has using social media affected your views on body image, or your personal body, in any way?
5. Has influencers, celebrities or instagram models ever caused you to think about your own body image and was it in a negative or positive way?
6. Do you think that there are particular ideas about the body that are only ideals that are found attractive through social media due to characteristics of others on social media? (this question is kind of confusing so I may need to talk through this idea)
7. Do you post particular photos that make you feel good about your body with the intent to accentuate your body?
8. Do you sometimes edit parts of your body before posting pictures to social media?
9. Do you think social media creates a standard for women’s body, or beauty, that is almost unattainable?
10. How long have you cheered for?
11. Do you prefer a particular uniform more, if you cheered for high school, allstar, or college, and why?
12. Does your cheer uniform make you feel uncomfortable about your body?
13. What do you like and dislike about your cheer Uniform?
14. Do you think cheerleading creates a hostile environment for body image ideas?
15. Do you ever compare yourself to your teammates?
